This year's FC-CPH Christmas party would be the first event I would attend with much less involvement as of last year, mainly because of my huge workload at the office. I opted to help out as a volunteer than an organizer, mainly giving others a chance to take the helm of organizing an FC-CPH party.
This year's Christmas party was held at Studio-Z, Katipunan Road, Q.C., in the building where GameCrab used to be (I heard they moved to Burgandy Building).
There were the usual hardships on the journey of providing a place and reason for FC-CPH members to gather and enjoy each other's company, but we managed to push it despite the odds. And just like last year and every other year before it, the success wasnt just because of the people behind the party, but for those who came and supported it.
So in behalf of FilCosplay Forums and Cosplay.ph, a big warm Thank You! Now, on the the pictures (which, btw, is courtesy of Erving, who deserves a big Thank You too!)
Jewel as usual was leading the Food Committee with Geomi and Aaron (who needed to leave early, but was there with the setup). Food this time was well balanced, and surprisingly not much meat in the menu (but the pancits were yummy!). Jewel also brought out her cookies from her SweetGeeks menu, and the Little Men were the top favorite.
Games Committee was led by Leizel, or more known as Zeiri Elle of the forums. She volunteered to lead the committee with her friend, and Markpoa and I lend a helping hand setting things up. She introduced a brand new game in the party, the Ball & String game, which required getting balls into a cup using only a ball of string. Its a hard challenge, but it didnt take the teams more than 15 minutes to tackle it.
Reception Committee was led by Frappuccino this time around. My apologies for Maui-sempai for not being able to host but I hope we made up by giving you a good time watching Jit dress up in the On The Spot Costume challenge.
Speaking of which...

The teams are getting pretty creative these days. Karlonne won Most Beautiful, btw. XD
Prizes were surprisingly bountiful, as official japan anime posters were given away by TVC-5, and prizes contributed by the admins, mods and members. Special shoutout goes to Wilbert, aka Sabakattou, for giving out a huge amount of toys and knick-knacks which includes stuff toys and keychains. Zaerone was leading the Prizes Committee like last year, was able to arrange the whole pile into manageable sizes, plus we has so much giveaways for raffle, the raffling actually was repeated the second around, so some members won twice.
Although the theme was suppose to be Disco All The Way, not many people went there wearing their disco inspired attire, but the music provided the ambiance with Jason, Hades and Adz curiously large collection of disco music (i wonder why?) hehehe. Jason however had to go as far as Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall just to get a copy of disco collections, which leaves Hades and Adz holding the bar explaining their own collections.

As per tradition, all guests are color coded randomly and group together to form teams, who must muster all their teamwork spirit to see who wins this years Best Team for 2009. And its tradition they make brand new team names for themselves based on the theme, thus what you see above. For this year it was blue team Machoty. So my congratulations!

So in the end we had our usual group picture. The party officially started at 1pm and ended at 630pm, with the members cleaning up after themselves and organizers finally getting a breather. So again, thank you guys for supporting FC and Cosplay.ph for another year and hoping you will do so again on our upcoming Summer Party and Christmas Party this 2010. Just like what i said at the end of the post-production meeting of organizers and volunteers: "Thank you for your support, and i hope you will still continue to support FC and Cosplay.ph until the end of the world... on 2012!"
They didnt find it funny so i just kept quiet, ehe.

Whoa, I've been so, SO busy lately.
While on one hand I'm enjoying my job and being really hands-on, I no longer know what "sleep" means and am pretty much a slave to MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint. X_x
It doesn't help that my computer at home is busted. DX Well, actually, it's a combination of a dying UPS and a faulty cable from my monitor to... something (still trying to figure out if it's from the monitor to the electronic socket or from the monitor to the HD). Either way, Anthy's out of commission again orz. >_>000
So, LJ friends, 'sup? Update me please!

Masashi Kishimoto’s blockbuster hit Naruto has just celebrated its 10th anniversary, and the release of a “premium fan book” to celebrate this brings with it some spectacular, and not so spectacular, artistic renditions of Naruto from other mangaka. - source: Sankaku Complex
I'm a fan of Naruto, whether i'd be called a Narutard doesn't matter, since i like the story and the premise and the whole thing is pretty epic in the manga (the anime is pretty much peppered with filler episodes).
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, artists from other mangaka contributed their own fanart of the series into commemorative collection cards. Some are pretty cool, while other are downright strange. Here are some of those fanarts via links.
Araki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Takeshi Obata (Death Note)
Noriaki Kubo (Bleach)
Eiichiro Oda (One Piece)
Yoshihiro Togashi (Hunter x Hunter)
Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball)
Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King)
Kyosuke Usuta (Sexy Commando Gaiden)
HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY, NARUTO!
